The Universal Yoga Method, created by the world renowned Andrey Lappa integrates all systems of yoga, in-particular Hatha Yoga and Himalayan Vinyasa. Practiced on cross mats (two mats), this special type of vinyasa, faces all 4 directions, and the comprehensive system differs from most. Universal Yoga can provide a deeper understanding of how each kosha or, “shell” interconnects with the others, providing a total balance and unification of self.

Acro or partner yoga is a form of acrobatic exercises where two practitioners work
in unison. One person embodies the “base” with the other flying above performing yoga poses while balancing on top. This class is a light-hearted and social yet still challenging. Every yogi should try it at least once. Even if acrobatics aren’t considered to be serious yoga, it’s a fun experience and a nice way to connect and learn to trust each other.

The landscape and the surroundings are absolutely stunning, there are no words to describe them. You will have to climb a lot of stairs, but the view from the top is so worth it. Practicing in our yoga sala is an absolutely unforgettable experience. Surrounded by nature, with a cliff on one side, and ocean on the other, it is hard to imagine a place for practice more perfect than this one. Sound of waves in savasana – priceless.

Vikasa is located in Koh Samui, Thailand. Vikasa is located in the south east of the island, close to Lamai and approximately 20 minutes by taxi from Koh Samui International Airport (USM).
The best way to get to Vikasa is to fly into Koh Samui International Airport (USM). There are daily flights into Koh Samui from Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and others. Alternatively, the Vikasa team can also arrange your pick up from the airport. Flying is the quickest route, but tourists and yoga enthusiasts can also travel by train and ferry which takes approximately 13.5 hours.
Yes! All of our Vikasa yoga classes in Thailand are open to the public to join. Classes are taught in the white sala. See our reception upon arrival if you need assistance with directions.
You don’t need to prebook classes, you are welcome to simply come and join. We recommend you arrive 10-15 minutes before class to check in, pay and get comfortable in the space.
Yes we do.
All mats, props, towels, and water are available for you to use in the yoga sala.
Our Vikasa classes are suited to all levels and our experienced teachers will offer various modifications to ensure you get the most out of your Vikasa experience. If you have any questions you are welcome to talk to the teachers before or after class.
We recommend you discuss your injury with your teacher before class starts. We encourage you to listen to your body and do what feels safe and right for you. You are always encouraged to use props and modify poses as needed to suit your circumstances.
