What is this session about?

In this free 60 minute guided session you’ll discover:

There are countless theories about whether we have free will or not. Our curious minds love exploring such ideas, often becoming deeply fascinated by them. Yoga, however, like other great spiritual traditions, is less concerned with theories and more interested in direct experience.

Rather than debating concepts, we are invited to observe what is actually happening, regardless of what we believe or wish to be true. Insight into the nature of the mind and free will is one of the milestones on the path of authentic Yoga, and a key to greater peace, freedom, and joy in everyday life.

If you would like to explore this through your own direct experience, join Yogi Alex for a live session. Together, we will practice, contemplate, and investigate how things truly are in our experience — what, if anything, can be done about them, and whether anything needs to be done at all.

If you’re a Vikasa YTT graduate, then you will already be familiar with Alex and his insightful teachings. He is one of our senior facilitators on our teacher trainings and his philosophy and meditation modules in our YTTs are consistently voted among the most mind-expanding highlights of the entire training.

Alex has a rare gift for taking deep, complex spiritual traditions and grounding them into actionable, everyday wisdom. He doesn’t lecture from a pedestal; he guides you step-by-step through direct contemplation, helping you pierce through mental clutter with clarity and humor.

This experiential session designed to help you break free from mental loops and see your life through a completely fresh lens. Learn how to step back from the constant narrative of the mind and explore what, if anything, can be done about life’s challenges (and whether anything needs to be done at all.)

Whether you are a long-time practitioner, a yoga teacher, or simply someone seeking greater peace, freedom, and joy in your day-to-day life, this session will help you think outside the box and shift your baseline.

Bring your curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to investigate how things truly are.
